These classroom offers ages 12 to 24 months trough 32 months. The teacher ratio is 2 to 8 child/teacher ratio or 1 to 5 ratio, depending on the needs of the group. Children follow a consistent daily routine and curriculum that promotes growth for all stages of development within an enriching classroom environment. Materials are rotated appropriately to support all areas of self help skills in learning and interest. A primary goal of teachers is to model and share POSITIVE social-emotional interactions and language with their peers and adults. Exploration is planned, guided, and promoted through play so that teachers can incorporate an Emergent Curriculum that follows the interests and investigations presented by children. Language skills are built through opportunities of open-ended play within the classroom that support independent skills, potty training, gross motor play, nature exploration, and outdoor play.
